Web Analytics Truth is found in death - I’ve admitted my flaw at not knowing much about Shias so excuse me if witnessing negative things said about the Prophet’s wife shocks me just a teensie bit. I respect your knowledge on all things sects but even having a Shia friend I still never read half the things you write on your blog. I have enormous respect for Aisha(ra) and I hope you respect that.

asker I've admitted my flaw at not knowing much about Shias so excuse me if witnessing negative things said about the Prophet's wife shocks me just a teensie bit. I respect your knowledge on all things sects but even having a Shia friend I still never read half the things you write on your blog. I have enormous respect for Aisha(ra) and I hope you respect that.

Salamu alaykoum, I will quote you something by John Pilger (I highly recommend you watch his documentaries, especially the war on democracy) I read in one of the first non fiction history books I read a long time ago. It’s called web of deceit by Mark Curtis, about the hypocrisy of the British government in its foreign policy and its sponsoring of state terrorism throughout the world. I feel it is very relevant;

With every generation, it seems, come new mythologists. That the opposite is true, may shock some people. “A truth’s initial commotion,” wrote the American sage Dresden James, “is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It was was not the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well packaged web of lies has been sold to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.”

While I respect your freedom to choose your role models, I insist you deeply reflect on this quote. Have you been lied to all these years? Have you been eating up what was told to you because you trusted those who taught you?

I’m not going to go and explain all the reasons for Aisha’s lacklustre behaviour unless you ask me to but, information is available at the click of a bottom these days. Don’t be scared to look through a different lens. Truth is clear from error, pray for guidance and a sincere heart.

I hope this sparks something within you
